October 4th is International Child’s Health Day, and we at ElderNet are working hard to help local families in hunger. While our organization focuses on bettering the lives of seniors in the community, that is not all we do. Our food pantry serves everyone in the community-from children and families to older adults. A huge part of the development of children is for them to be in good health and to eat the right foods to fuel their growing bodies. Children need to have consistent, healthy diets. For families who have food insecurities, this can be really difficult to obtain, and that is why we are here to help.
We are always welcoming volunteers to help out at our food pantry, as well as donations to support our local community. Donations of any kind are greatly appreciated and can make a huge difference for a family.
