Virginia’s life has been transformed by ElderNet.

In the last two years, Virginia has not only lost her home, but she also lost three of the closest people in her life. Virginia was forced to move in with family, but she quickly found that her family was not the support she had hoped for. She was utterly alone.

Without the help of ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth, Virginia says she would not have made it. We were there for each loss checking in to see how she was doing and how we could help shoulder her burdens as she grieved. We were there when her family gave her nothing to eat; we provided meals and even a microwave so she could prepare food in her room. We were there as she fought to get an apartment of her own. Finally settled, she can move forward with hope for her future.

We were there for Virginia because of the countless generous donors who make it possible for ElderNet to do all of this for no charge to our participants. We want to ensure that more neighbors like Virginia can overcome adversity and thrive. Last year, contributions from our donors allowed us to serve approximately 350 participants, distribute over 78,000 pounds of food to our food insecure neighbors and provide 1,692 rides to medical appointments.

If you have donated before, we are grateful for your support and hope you will continue to partner with us this year. If you have not given to us before, we invite you to be part of our mission by making a one-time donation or becoming a monthly donor. You can make your contribution online at www.eldernetonline.org/donate.

Together, we can make Lower Merion and Narberth an even more caring, connected community.
